It just seems like every HIT from 1993 to the early 2000s was brought back to life in an On-Stage one night only spectacular! Jermaine Dupri Out did himself on this one, gracing the stage with acts and appearances by artists such as:
Da Brat
Bone Crusher
Monica
The Trio of Lil John, Usher, and Ludacris
Xscape
Anthony Hamilton
Jezzy
Kris Kross
Mariah Carey
Jay Z
and the list goes on!!
The highlight of the night was an acapella freestyle performed by none other than Jay-Z at the end of the night. The acapella onslaught came from the DJs lack of solely instrumentals of some of the artists biggest hits. “I ain’t have to come out here for that, you could have just put a picture of me up there,” he informed before launching into portions of tunes like “Jigga What” and Kanye West’s “Clique.” “I came a long way, I got to do this sh-t right.”
The show was PHENOMENAL! If you grew up during this reign of this Labels highlife, this show took you back and laid you clean out on the floor with no remorse whatsoever. It was undoubtedly the best concert of the year in hip-hop.
