Music Industry Becoming a Joke?
Yeah...I think its safe to say.
WHAT IN THE WORLD Happened tonight at the 2013 BillBoard Awards? Its like...I dont even know what to say. This is worse than the VMAs last year with all the foolishness. This year was a complete COMEDIC RIOT! Miguel decided finally to reveal to the world that he was a power ranger when he super judo karate leg dropped a woman in the crowd...
Justin Beiber got straight BOOED when he received the new Milestone Award over Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.
THEN! Nicki Minaj Gets on stage with wayne and give him like the ultimate lap dance and then PLAYS ALL IN HER "SPACE"
Then, I dont know WHAT was going on with this drake picture going around on every major social network. But it surfaced same time as the awards, but it is post worthy as well.
So many things took place, dont get me wrong, there were alot of good moments, but the majority of the night was filled with social media worthy follies.
So what is REALLY going on in the Mainstream industry? Is this WHY independent artists are turned off by going to a major label? I think so personally, the industry is a joke. To put so much money into trying to get into the industry, why would you want to be looked at as a conformist and a sell out to satisfy gimmicks and foolery. This is not what I would want to be a part of if I were a self-respecting artist.
